Taking a walk as proven to the best for me, otherwise I like the other ways too.

Some great suggestions. I would just add “spend time with your pets”. When it’s been a rather stressful day and the kids are in a mood, i find myself making an extra trip to the chicken coop, and just really doing nothing, but being with them.

    1. Thanks, Samantha. Spending time with your pets is another great way to relieve stress.

Great tips! I do almost all of these and they really do help. Meditation is a struggle for me too. Yoga actually helps with that.

Just lay down and live in the future that I want to build. Your tips are great way too. Whenever Im stressed out I will lay down and think happy moments and imagine the future.

What a timely article this is for me! I really do need to take that time to focus a little more on me and do some of these things that I have been putting off! I like to go for walks or runs, and would love to be able to do more yoga and start meditating! Do you have any tips on what time of the day or how to meditate?

    1. I prefer to meditate in the mornings before my day starts. However, everyone is different and you should find the best time that works for you. I have found that when you are first starting, you should start small. Trying to meditate for a half hour or more may be too much at first. Start at five minutes and work your way up. Sometimes people overthink meditation, I admit I was one of them. I recommend finding a quiet place, meditation music is optional. I feel breathing is key, deep breath in and then out. You will start to feel focused and gain more clarity.
